6 माह से ज्यादा दंडित तो नहीं लड़ सकेंगे चुनाव
जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी कुमार पाल गौतम ने बताया कि के लिए ऐसा कोई भी व्यक्ति प्रत्याशी नहीं बन सकता जिसे किसी सक्षम न्यायालय द्वारा किसी अपराध के लिए दोष सिद्धि करार दिया गया हो और 6 माह से अधिक का कारावास सुनाया गया हो ।
जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी कुमार पाल गौतम ने बताया कि कोई भी व्यक्ति जिसने 21 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त कर ली हो चुनाव के लिए प्रत्याशी के रूप में नाम निर्देशन पत्र दाखिल कर सकेगा। साथ ही केंद्रीय, राज्य सरकार या किसी स्थानीय प्राधिकारी के अधीन वर्तनी की अंशकालिक नियुक्ति धारण करने वाले व्यक्ति को भी इस चुनाव में प्रत्याशी के रूप में नाम निर्देशन पत्र दाखिल करने का अधिकार नहीं होगा। प्रत्याशी को नाम निर्देशन पत्र भरते समय दोष सिद्धि अथवा विचाराधीन आपराधिक मुकदमों की सूचना हेतु घोषणा पत्र संलग्न करना अनिवार्य होगा।
दो से अधिक संतान, तो नहीं लड़ सकेंगे चुनाव
गौतम ने बताया कि अधिनियम के तहत किए गए प्रावधानों के अनुसार दो से अधिक संतान वाला व्यक्ति भी चुनाव में प्रत्याशी नहीं बन सकता। हालांकि किसी एकल प्रसव से जन्मी हुई सभी संतानों की संख्या को एक माना जाएगा और दत्तक में दिए गए किसी बच्चे को बच्चों की संख्या की गणना करते समय अप वर्जित नहीं किया जाएगा। गौतम ने बताया कि चुनाव लड़ने की निरर्हताओं में किसी गबन का दोषी पाए जाने को भी शामिल किया गया है।
